If you are a complete beginner and would like to take up agility you will need to attend one of our 10 week courses. Here we will teach your dog how to use the equipment and you as a handler the basics on how to navigate a course. A week prior to the start of the course you will be required to come along to a free taster night. This will give us an opportunity to meet you and your dog and it will also give you an insight as to what you can expect from agility and for us to answer any questions you may have. Agility is a high energy activity for our dogs and some of them find it hard to stay focused so we will ask you to demonstrate with them a recall and sit/stay command as we can only accept dogs that can fulfill these requirements. The last thing you would want to be doing at your training sessions is disrupting the class by spending the whole time just trying to get your dog to come back to you. The course will cost £50 and is non refundable plus there will be an additional annual Membership fee to pay of £6 for a single person or £12 for joint/family. Once the course has been completed you will be very welcome to carry on with your training to take it on to the next level. This will cost £5 per session payable on the night or in blocks of 4 weeks for £16. (We regret that block payments cannot be transferred or refunded either).
The sport is certainly very much in demand at the moment and we do not have any spare places for beginners just now. Our intake is limited to 10 dogs maximum but we do have a waiting list however, it is fair to mention that it could be 18 months onward before those at the bottom of the list make it to the top. Any enquiries about joining the waiting list should go to firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone Julie on 01524 420992
If you have experience in agility and would like to join us then please feel free to contact us with a brief outline of what equipment your dog has mastered. Depending on their ability and if there is a space in one of our more advanced classes then we may be able to find you a place. Please send any details to Julie at email@example.com or telephone 01524 420992
